Mechatronics Engineering (English) Undergraduate Department
Mechatronics has emerged as a new multidisciplinary engineering field based on machinery, electronics, software and control systems technologies. It is the main branch of science at the basis of automation, which is made more and more necessary and brought to the forefront by the competitive conditions that exist in today’s world. In today’s world, mechatronics is a branch of engineering that exists in systems used in all areas of our lives, from computers to industrial robots, from automobiles to spacecraft. For this reason, it provides a very wide business area including all areas of engineering and is one of the sought-after professions of the future.
Mechatronics engineers who will carry out works based on machinery, electronics, software and control systems technologies such as design, operation, maintenance, repair, renewal and transformation of mechatronic systems are needed especially in manufacturing technologies, automotive industry, aviation and space technology, defense industry, material processing, imaging, medical and health sciences sectors.
In mechatronics education, engineering fundamentals are given first, followed by the development of a wide range of technological knowledge and skills, and finally the skills are transformed into competence through practical applications. The aim is to train engineers who have a good command of electronics, machinery and software, develop innovative and smart products with their mechatronics knowledge and skills, solve problems, and enjoy their profession.
