Mechatronics Engineering covers all the new generation engineering systems that technology has reached today, it has emerged as a multi-disciplinary combining and much-needed engineering field based on machinery, electronics, computer, software and control systems technologies. Enabling the production of all technologies such as Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence Applications, Unmanned Air / Land / Sea / Space Vehicles, Smart Robots; it is a branch of science that synthesizes the branches of mathematics, physics, programming, automation, control, static, dynamic, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and system analysis. To its graduates; it provides a wide range of job opportunities that include all the areas it covers and is one of the sought-after professions of today and the future.

Mechatronics engineers, who will perform tasks based on machinery, electronics, software and control systems technologies such as design, operation, maintenance, repair, renewal, conversion of mechatronic systems, especially in manufacturing technologies, automotive industry, aviation and space technology, defense industry, material processing, imaging, medicine and in the health sciences sectors, it is in cooperation with many institutions working in these fields to train engineers needed for domestic and national productions and products that have been developing in recent years.

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering of Istanbul Commerce University collaborates with companies such as Technopark Istanbul, SAHA Istanbul – Defense, Aviation Cluster SAHA, Domestic and National Defense Industry Companies TAI, TEI, Aselsan, which are pioneers in this field. Our graduates can find jobs and internships in these companies and institutions and become sought-after staff.

Our department; specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Nano and Smart Material Technologies, Space and Aviation Industry, Automation and Energy. Our students take excellent physics, mathematics and introductory engineering courses in the first two years and then specialize in departmental courses.

Our Department’s Academic and Sector Advisory Boards train properly trained engineers for the sector’s needs with up-to-date course schedules and contents. Our faculty members are composed of academicians with industry experience and qualified academic studies. Our faculty members closely follow new R&D approaches. Together with the Istanbul Commerce University Technology Transfer Office, they carry out joint projects with Istanbul Agency, TUBITAK TEYDEB, SANTEZ, EU Projects, companies, public institutions and non-governmental organizations field.
