Graduate education at Istanbul Ticaret University, established by the Istanbul Chamber of Ticaret Education and Social Services Foundation, began in March 2002 at the Institute of Foreign Trade. Over time, graduate education services expanded and transformed into five separate institutes: Foreign Trade, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Finance, and Communication Sciences. In the 2023–2024 academic year, the Institutes of Foreign Trade, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Communication Sciences were merged under the umbrella of the Graduate Education Institute (LEE). The main goal of this merger was to ensure that processes such as application, registration, courses, and theses proceeded more smoothly from a single center, to increase coordination between programs, and to facilitate interdisciplinary transitions. Our institute continues to provide education and research services in line with this goal, with its multi-faceted structure and over 150 different programs. Our university’s strong institutional ties with the Istanbul Chamber of Ticaret are one of the key factors that strengthen our graduate programs.
Our graduate education and training services, delivered by a highly qualified, experienced, and strong faculty, continue across campuses spread across both sides of Istanbul. The Sütlüce Sâdâbâd Campus, Küçükyalı Hezarfen Campus, and Eminönü Ahî Çelebi Campus are located in central areas of Istanbul and on the main routes of transportation arteries. All three campuses are accessible by public transportation, including Marmaray, Metro, and metrobüs. Our institute’s multi-campus structure facilitates access to classes, seminars, research meetings, conferences, congresses, and sectoral events, enabling students to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the city of Istanbul.
Our institute aims to create an educational environment where knowledge is not only transferred but also produced, tested, and transformed into practical outcomes that can be applied in the field. In this regard, we prioritize a culture of research, critical thinking, and methodological competence. This approach is fully aligned with our University’s vision of being a “pioneering university that guides society and the business world through scientific work, research, education, and teaching activities.” Our Institute has produced thousands of graduates who have been educated in line with this vision. Numerous graduates who are parliamentarians, academics, and senior managers in public and private institutions reflect the quality, diversity, and excellence of the education provided at our Institute.
