Ticaretliyiz – Privacy Policy
Your security is important to us. Therefore, all personal data you share through the Ticaretliyiz mobile application is carefully protected.
As Istanbul Ticaret University, with this privacy policy we aim to inform you about which of your personal data will be processed, for what purposes, with whom and under what conditions they may be shared, our data processing methods and legal grounds, as well as your rights under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).
Personal Data Collected, Collection Method, and Legal Basis
When you use the application, the following data may be collected;
- Your IP address, device, and user agent information
- Login credentials used for accessing the application (student/staff number, e-mail, etc.)
- Application usage logs and transaction records
These data are recorded and stored automatically or semi-automatically. They are processed within the scope of the service and membership relationship between you and Istanbul Commerce University, based on Article 5/2 (c), (ç), and (f) of the KVKK for “performance of a contract,” “legal obligation,” and “legitimate interest.”
Purpose of Processing Your Personal Data
Your personal data are processed for the following purposes;
- Enabling secure login to the application
- Providing access to announcements, events, and campus services
- Monitoring and improving application performance
- Facilitating communication with the university
- Fulfilling legal obligations
All processing is carried out in a proportionate and purpose-specific manner.
Data Sharing and Transfers
Your personal data may be shared with;
- Relevant departments within the university
- Technology and infrastructure service providers with whom we cooperate
- Judicial and administrative authorities, when legally required
All transfers are made with the necessary technical and administrative security measures in place.
Your Rights Under KVKK
According to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to;
- Learn whether your personal data is being processed
- Request information regarding the processing of your data
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
- Know the third parties to whom your data has been transferred domestically or abroad
- Request correction if your data is incomplete or incorrect
- Request deletion or destruction of your data
- Request notification of such actions to third parties with whom data was shared
- Object to outcomes against you that result from automated processing
- Claim compensation if you suffer damages due to unlawful processing
