This program, in line with the vision, mission, and philosophy of Istanbul Commerce University, aims to train researchers who can follow, question, and actively contribute to the processes of societal change and transformation.

Understanding, analyzing, and guiding rapidly changing and transforming social realities in connection with globalization is possible through application. To this end, a program is proposed that addresses social issues and integrates practice with theory. The program aims to provide sociological explanations for social problems in a scientific context using various methods in practice and to develop solution-oriented policies.

While our university continues to contribute to science through national and international research, projects, and publications, it also leverages the opportunities provided by information technology to create and develop the ideal of qualified individuals needed by the country. It monitors, interprets, tests applications, and contributes to society by updating its academic programs and continuously renewing itself. The “Applied Sociology” Master’s Program is structured in alignment with our institution’s mission. The Applied Sociology Master’s Program aims to specialize students in analyzing and explaining social phenomena by integrating theory and practice, thereby training competent researchers needed in society, particularly in the business world.
