Commercial diplomacy is a broad field where negotiations are conducted and solutions are produced for disputes affecting international trade in an environment where political and economic conflicts and complex relationships are increasingly present. It involves agreements aimed at trade and investment and the development of international collaborations.
It is necessary to train graduates who are well-versed in the terminology of commercial diplomacy, can engage in intercultural communication, value entrepreneurship and seek to enhance their entrepreneurial skills, and who aim to strengthen the academic side of international trade — so that they may contribute as experts to public institutions and the business world.
The lack of academically qualified experts in this field in our country so far represents a significant deficiency. Addressing this gap as soon as possible would be highly beneficial. Commercial diplomacy is an interdisciplinary area related to economics, business, international trade, political science, and international relations, encompassing analyses that enhance international trade as well as the full scope of negotiation processes within economic, commercial, and legal environments.
