Primarily rooted in Economics, the International Trade PhD Program encompasses advanced knowledge transfer and research infrastructure, addressing the inseparable economic, legal, and political dimensions of international trade. The aim is to enable students to gain independent and individual research experience and to conduct high-quality scientific research.

The program is designed to focus on in-depth discussion and analysis of topics related to historical and contemporary international trade policies and practices. It particularly emphasizes the identification and analysis of trends shaping current international trade movements, the actors involved in determining international trade policies, and the political and institutional contexts of international trade policies and practices.

Individuals who complete their doctoral education in International Trade at Istanbul Commerce University will acquire specialized knowledge in both the national and international dimensions of international trade, a key component of globalization, and will be equipped to conduct research and teach in these areas.
