The Private Law PhD program aims to enable lawyers who have completed their undergraduate and master’s education in law to specialize in the field of private law and graduate by writing a doctoral dissertation in this area. Consequently, the extensive changes made to fundamental laws guide both legal practitioners and those aspiring to pursue an academic career toward this program.

The program seeks to cultivate highly qualified legal professionals to contribute to Turkish societal life in the field of private law. Its objective is to equip students with the ability to conduct independent research in this field, critically analyze scientific phenomena with a broad and in-depth perspective, and determine the necessary steps to reach new syntheses.
