The Statistics Thesis and Non-thesis Master’s Programs aim to train a skilled workforce capable of providing scientific solutions to problems arising in the application areas of social and administrative sciences, using statistical theory and methods, as well as technical knowledge in operations research, information technology, and statistical information systems.
Another objective of the Statistics program is to train researchers and faculty members in the field of statistics.
Students in the Statistics Master’s Program acquire the abilities to explain and interpret statistical results, select and analyze appropriate analytical methods for solving problems in the real, financial, and service sectors, and keep up with and apply new developments in statistical techniques.
Additionally, students who complete the Statistics Master’s Program are well-equipped to work as statisticians in public and private institutions or to pursue a doctoral program in statistics.
