Urban Systems and Transportation Management is a master’s program offered with both thesis and non-thesis tracks, with the language of instruction being Turkish.
The Urban Systems and Transportation Management Master’s Program aims to provide expertise to individuals who have graduated from relevant four-year undergraduate programs by imparting advanced knowledge and skills in the fields of urbanization and transportation systems. With the rapidly increasing population, various urbanization and transportation system problems are emerging in cities. To address these issues, numerous small- and large-scale urbanization and transportation projects are being undertaken and continue to be developed. One of the program’s objectives is to train a competent, nationally oriented workforce capable of producing scientific solutions throughout the entire process of these projects, from inception to completion. Additionally, the program aims to support individuals seeking to advance their careers by offering innovative ideas for the planning and operation of transportation systems and the execution of urban development and transportation planning.
The Urban Systems and Transportation Management program is multidisciplinary, encompassing fields such as general engineering, planning, and business administration. Graduates of this program will gain expertise in public or private sector roles, whether as managers or technical staff, in areas such as project preparation, management, implementation, and decision-making processes.
The Urban Systems and Transportation Management Master’s Program targets individuals who:
- Wish to develop themselves, enhance their knowledge, and direct their expertise in the field of transportation,
- Aim for senior management positions in their institutions or organizations,
- Seek to master the projects they undertake or oversee within their authority in their institutions or organizations,
- Aspire to work or take on roles in mega urban and transportation projects that are being implemented or under development in our country.
