The Vision of the Department of Psychology is to provide the highest level of education to our students with the aim of ensuring a strong professional future for them on national and international platforms; to contribute to the national and international development of our university in the fields of scientific research, education, and training; and to produce beneficial services for our country and humanity. In this regard, our faculty consists of a total of nine faculty members, four of whom are at the Professor level, and one assistant.

The Mission of the Department of Psychology is to help students understand the mental, emotional, social, cultural, and biological processes underlying human behavior, teach them scientific methods to acquire knowledge, create a scientific application environment in our research laboratories, ensure their professional development, strengthen their critical thinking skills, enable them to use the principles of psychological science at a personal and social level, and develop ethical and social responsibility awareness in each of our students.

The quality of education and training in our Department of Psychology, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, was accredited by the Federation of Evaluation and Accreditation of Educational Programs (FEDEK) on May 12, 2020, recognized by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK).

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN THE DEPARTMENT:

In the Istanbul Commerce University Department of Psychology, our program includes two mandatory internships within the scope of various subfields of psychology such as Clinical, Industrial, Forensic psychology, in addition to Nursery School. Each internship lasts for 20 working days and takes place during the summer periods.
