The Department of Psychology aims to provide students with different approaches, research and application skills in the field of psychology. In addition to the research courses in the clinical, social, developmental and cognitive fields in the science of psychology, there are also courses in the fields of Forensic Psychology, Neuropsychology, Industrial and Organizational Psychology. During the research courses, all our students can use the computer and psychology laboratories and present their scientific research at national or international congresses.

The competency and quality of education of the department of Psychology has been accredited by the FEDEK institution which established to increase the quality of higher education programs in Turkey.

The education process includes two compulsory internship opportunities, one in developmental psychology and the other in any applied sub-field of psychology (such as clinical, forensic, industry). Education and internship opportunities are also offered in European Union countries within the scope of Erasmus Student Mobility Program.

As the Department of Psychology, we will continue to train students who are well-equipped in all fields, have field experience, high qualifications, communication skills, critical and holistic thinking, aim for lifelong learning, researchers and benefit the society.
