As an academic and applied discipline, psychology has a wide spectrum ranging from clinical to industrial, natural sciences to social sciences. Psychology focuses on the scientific study, identification and analysis of cognitive/mental processes, attitudes and behaviors, people’s moods, personal problems/conflicts, intrinsic/extrinsic motivation and frustration. Starting from neurological processes, the main topics of psychology are sensation, perception, attention, memory, intelligence, cognition, emotion, personality, self, attitude-behavior, group dynamics, developmental and cultural processes. Psychology education, which is intertwined with our daily life, is extremely interesting. Psychology education also offers us the opportunity to better and more acceptively understand and evaluate ourselves and those around us. Another feature that we stand out is that we work with the principle of “accessibility” at all levels. With the principle of “living while learning and learning while living”, our students have the opportunity to combine their theoretical knowledge with business life through compulsory internships in public and private institutions.
The most important feature of our university that makes our university stand out among other universities is that it has organic ties with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Turkey’s largest commercial organization. This bond brings the graduates of our university to an advantageous position in the process of finding a job.
In our age, if we cannot load our diploma with new information, skills, understanding ourselves and our environment, keeping up with the changing world and even preventing change, research, discussion, endurance, and challenge, it will not go beyond a document that blocks us rather than opens it. Our main goal is for the students who come to our university to come out as people who have reached this consciousness, transformed themselves, will shape their own future, and can pave their own path. We have to equip the diploma!
