Prof. Dr. Alayoğlu was born in 1964 in Sakarya. Mr. Alayoğlu graduated from Department of Economics of Hacettepe University in 1990, and completed the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the University of Glamorgan Business School in England in 1994.
Mr. Alayoğlu received his doctorate degree from the Human Resources Department at Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute Department of Business Administration in 2005.
Between 2000 and 2009, Mr. Alayoğlu served as the Director of UTESAV (the International Technological, Economic and Social Research Foundation) and as the Deputy Secretary General and the Quality Management Manager at MUSIAD (the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association).
Mr. Alayoğlu started his academic career as a lecturer at Istanbul Ticaret University Vocational School in 2009, and became an Assistant Professor in 2011.
Mr. Alayoğlu, who has been teaching courses at the Department of Business Administration of Faculty of Commercial Sciences in Istanbul Ticaret University, has assumed the position of General Secretary of the University between 2012 and 2014. Continuing his academic career at Istanbul Medipol University since 2015, Mr. Alayoğlu received the title of Associate Professor in 2015, and the title of Full Professor as of October 1st, 2020.
Mr. Alayoğlu, who has been working as the Secretary General of ITO (Istanbul Chamber of Commerce) since May 20th, 2018, has authored a book entitled “Management and Institutionalization in Family Companies” in addition to the book chapters and national-international scientific papers and articles published on topics related to his field of work.
