Ms. Atalan was born in Istanbul. She has completed his undergraduate education at George Mason University in U.S. with a major in Psychology and a minor in Global Relations. She received her first master’s degree in the field of Cultural Studies and her second master’s degree in the field of Clinical Psychology both at Istanbul Şehir University. She still continues her PhD education in the field of Clinical Psychology at Hasan Kalyoncu University.
Ms. Atalan is one of the founders of Lacivert Magazine, where she served as the Editorial Manager for 2 years. Later, she worked as a therapist with adults and couples.
She assumed the position of Assistant General Manager in Green Crescent in 2017 where she assumed the position of General Manager in 2018. She has overseen the establishment and management processes of the Green Crescent Counseling Centers (YEDAM) in 81 provinces across Turkey.
Ms. Atalan has been working as a full and part time therapist with adults and couples since 2010.
Ms. Atalan is serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Ticaret University and Member of the Central Advisory Board of the Istanbul Technical University Social Innovation Application and Research Center.
She participated in many national and international congresses and symposiums organized every year by organizations such as the United Nations Commission on Drugs and the World Health Organization, and gave speeches. She is fluent in English.
