Uygulamalı Sosyoloji Yüksek Lisans Programı

İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi Sosyoloji Bölümü, Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü bünyesinde yürüttüğü Uygulamalı Sosyoloji yüksek lisans programına lisansüstü düzeyde öğrenci kabul etmektedir.

Tüm disiplinlere açık olan bu programda öğrenciler, temel sosyolojik bakış açıları çerçevesinde, orijinal araştırma projeleri geliştirmek, sosyolojik olguları daha yakından incelemek, günümüz toplumunda karşılaşılan sorunlara çözüm arayışında olmak, bunları akademik/bilimsel bir şekilde gerçekleştirmek üzere eğitim almaktadırlar. Teorik perspektiften ödün vermeden, saha uygulamalarına yoğunlaşarak sosyoloji disiplininin pratik boyutunda temel araştırma becerisi kazanmaları beklenmektedir.

Program müfredatına uygun olarak programda ortaya çıkan araştırma ve tezler sağlam bir sosyal teoriye dayanmanın yanı sıra (hem nitel hem nicel) uygulamalı yöntemleri ve saha araştırmalarını öncelemektedir. Farklı disiplinlerden gelen öğrencilerin temel sosyoloji yetkinliği kazanmaları için sunulan bilimsel hazırlık dersleri sayesinde programa uyumlanmaları sağlanmaktadır.

Master Program in Applied Sociology

The Sociology Department in Istanbul Commerce University offers a Master Study in Applied Sociology designed under the graduate programs of the Institute of Social Sciences.

In this program open to students from various disciplinary backgrounds, the students are taught to conduct original research within the sociological perspective, examine sociological phenomena closely, consider finding solutions to the problems of contemporary society, and accomplish this in a scholarly way. Without sacrificing theory, students are expected to focus on field studies and building the capacity of research in the practical side of the sociology discipline.

Parallel with the program curriculum, the research, and thesis produced in the program prioritize applied methods (both quantitative and qualitative) and field research with a sound theoretical background. Students coming from different disciplines can better adapt to the program thanks to the preparatory classes offered to gain basic competence in sociology.
