TEKNOPARK Istanbul is the best Technology Development Center

8. R&D and Design Centers and Technology Development Zones Summit was held in the Informatics Valley. Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) President and TEKNOPARK Istanbul Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Şekib Avdagiç, representing TEKNOPARK Istanbul, of which our university is the founding partner, TEKNOPARK Istanbul General Manager Mr. Bilal Topçu and our Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu attended the summit.

A total of 42 awards were granted at the summit, which was attended by the Minister of Industry and Technology Mr. Mustafa Varank. Of these awards, 30 of them were granted within the scope of the 10 categories allocated for R&D and design centers, and 12 of them were granted within the scope of the 4 categories allocated for technoparks. TEKNOPARK Istanbul ranked first in the category of Emerging Technology Development Centers, one of the four categories allocated for technoparks, and was awarded the first prize.
