Faculty of Communication got its New TV and Radio Studios

As the works that have been going on for a while at Istanbul Ticaret University Faculty of Communication with the support of Istanbul Ticaret University have come to an end, the decor of the 250m2 TV studio was completely renovated and the radio studio was built from scratch with state-of-the-art equipment. In this way, the students got the opportunity to start the spring semester with new, modern and comprehensive facilities, where they will have the practical courses.
The studios of the Faculty of Communication will host students’ curricular and extracurricular practices, activities of the TIMM TV and TIMM Radio under the Ticaret Communication and Media Center (TIMM) and corporate affairs of the university, and will be open to the use of all academic and administrative personnel.
A Multi-Purpose, Modular and Modern TV Studio
As the works that have been going on for a while at Istanbul Ticaret University Faculty of Communication with the support of Istanbul Ticaret University have come to an end, the decor of the 250m2 TV studio was completely renovated and the radio studio was built from scratch with state-of-the-art equipment. In this way, the students got the opportunity to start the spring semester with new, modern and comprehensive facilities, where they will have the practical courses. The studios of the Faculty of Communication will host students’ curricular and extracurricular practices, activities of the TIMM TV and TIMM Radio under the Ticaret Communication and Media Center (TIMM) and corporate affairs of the university, and will be open to the use of all academic and administrative personnel. The multi-purpose, modular, modern TV studio and virtual venue were designed in a modular structure and based on the needs of different TV programs and organizations, taking into consideration the student applications at the Faculty of Communication and the needs of the University. The TV studio consists of a fixed section designed for news and discussion programs, a stage section suitable for music, entertainment and competition formats, a presentation corner for youth programs, and an endless background section called “greenbox”, the backgroud of which can be digitally changed, and a portable audience tribune with a capacity of 30 spectators. The floor of the TV studio is completely covered with glossy granite. Aesthetic backgrounds were created using 7 large screen televisions and visual presentation facilities were developed for the productions. The TV studio, which consists of modular decors suitable for multi-purpose use, can be completely vacated when desired to be used for online events, and can be expanded with additional green and black backgrounds.
Professional Radio Broadcasting with State-of-the-Art Equipment
The entire TIMM Radio Center, which has a mixer console, a live broadcasting area with a capacity to host 4 guests, a recording studio, and 2 offices, has been equipped with sound mixers, microphones, headphones, computers, server and radio software suitable for national radio broadcasting. The areas within the Radio Center were covered with acoustic panels and floor carpets for sound insulation. News, education, culture and art, music and entertainment, and sports programs are planned to be broadcast on TIMM Radio, which broadcasts 24 hours a day via the TIMM website.
Everyone is Invited to Contribute to the New Productions on TIMM TV and TIMM Radio
The areas opened for use are expected to be used effectively by the entire university, especially by the students and academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Communication. It will be sufficient for those who would like to assume a role in the application areas and take part in the productions to contact the specialists working in the relevant units, and proceed as per their directions.
