Our Rector Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek Met with Orhun Exchange Program Students and Academics

Our university brought together students and academics from various countries of the Turkic World within the scope of the Orhun Exchange Program. In the meeting hosted by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek, international academic collaborations and student experiences were evaluated from a multi-faceted perspective.
Our university gathered students studying under the Orhun Exchange Program and academics in a meeting hosted by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek. At the gathering, which included participants from different geographies of the Turkic World, the students’ experiences and academic exchanges were comprehensively evaluated.
A SINCERE AND PRODUCTIVE MEETING TOOK PLACE
The program, organized by the Exchange Programs Coordinatorship, was held at the Sütlüce Rectorate Senate Hall, Sâdâbâd Campus. The meeting, hosted by our Rector Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek, was attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hanifi Parlar, our Exchange Programs Coordinator Asst. Prof. Elif Nuray Yıldırım, as well as academics representing different countries of the Turkic World currently working at our university: Prof. Dr. Abdullah Avey, Asst. Prof. Kamala Valiyeva, Asst. Prof. Gülistan İskenderoğlu, Asst. Prof. Tolkun Soldan, and Orhun Exchange Program students.
INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC INTERACTION IS STRENGTHENING
Dr. Musfiq Huseynov from Azerbaijan Mingachevir State University, who is currently at our university as part of the Orhun Exchange Program, also participated in the event and contributed to the sharing of student experiences. Dr. Musfiq Huseynov shared his observations regarding the two-week mobility process and expressed his satisfaction with our university.
On the other hand, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Halil Sugözü, who previously served as the Rector’s Advisor and Dean at Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University, reunited with students from Kyrgyzstan at our university.
STUDENTS SHARED THEIR EXPERIENCES
Within the scope of the program, a total of 13 Orhun Exchange Program students—3 from Azerbaijan, 5 from Kazakhstan, and 5 from Kyrgyzstan—delivered presentations introducing their respective countries and universities. While the presentations, supported by visuals, garnered great interest, a strong environment of interaction was created where different cultures converged.
Furthermore, the students shared their experiences regarding the mobility process they have been conducting at our university since the beginning of the spring semester.
ACADEMIC AND CULTURAL CONTRIBUTION OF THE PROGRAM EMPHASIZED
In his speech, our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hanifi Parlar expressed his pleasure in hosting the students participating in the Orhun Exchange Program at our university and stated that such programs strengthen academic and cultural interaction.
Our Exchange Programs Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Elif Nuray Yıldırım, drew attention to the importance of the Orhun Exchange Program for our university, noting that the program plays a key role in developing academic collaborations established with the Turkic World.
Arda Türkoğlu, Exchange Programs Specialist and moderator of the program, emphasized the positive feedback provided by the Orhun Exchange Program in a short period, the increasing academic and cultural interaction, and its contributions to our university’s internationalization process.
EMPHASIS ON THE ORHUN PROGRAM BY OUR RECTOR
In his speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek stated that although the Orhun Exchange Program has been implemented at our university for only one year, it has gained significant momentum and continues its development. Stating that the program’s impact is expanding every day, Prof. Dr. Şimşek emphasized that the importance given to the Orhun Exchange Program will continue to increase and that the program will hold a vital place in our university’s internationalization vision.
Prof. Dr. Şimşek also expressed that the academic and cultural experiences that the students gain at our university within the scope of the Orhun Exchange Program will contribute significantly to their future careers.
The program concluded with a gift presentation and a commemorative photo session.
