A protocol was signed between Istanbul Ticaret University and Seneca Polytechnic College, which provides undergraduate and graduate education and offers more than 160 programs and 500 career opportunities in Canada, to organize a certificate program in the field of Financial Technologies (FinTech) in addition to the Digital Economy and Marketing Management Master’s program.
Students who will complete the certificate program within the scope of the protocol by taking courses in the field of FinTech from Seneca Polytechnic College, Ontario, Canada, will have the opportunity to receive a valuable certificate, while pursuing a Master’s degree in the Digital Economy and Marketing program offered in English language in Türkiye.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DIGITAL ECONOMY AND MARKETING MANAGEMENT MASTER’S PROGRAM OFFERED IN ENGLISH WITH FIN-TECH CERTIFICATE?
In this master’s program offered with a fintech certificate, you will work with innovative and evolving technologies used in the financial services sector. Faculty members from Canada and Türkiye who are experts of the field will share best practices for product development and entrepreneurship and improve participants’ understanding of privacy, ethics and the regulatory environment of financial technologies.
The program will cover topics such as cybersecurity, web applications and mobile development, as well as data analysis for financial services. Participants of the program will gain the necessary skills in areas such as product development and entrepreneurship, privacy management, financial services and financial products, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, cyber security, web applications, mobile development, and business management.
Graduates of the program will be able to work as data analysts, financial technology product developers and application developers.

DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES TO BE AWARDED UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM
Students who will successfully complete the program will have the opportunity to receive a Graduate Certificate from Seneca Polytechnic, Ontario, Canada and a non-thesis Master’s degree in Digital Economy and Marketing Management from Istanbul Ticaret University. This unique opportunity will enable students to have more opportunities in terms of both academic life and business career.
PROGRAM’S DURATION AND MAIN AREAS OF STUDY
In this three-semester program, students will develop a strong understanding of innovative and disruptive technologies used in the financial services industry. The main areas of study will be as follows: Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Privacy Management, Fintech ecosystem and regulations, Cyber Security, Web Applications and Mobile Development, Data Analytics for financial services and more.
INTERNSHIP AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITY
The program also includes a unique virtual internship experience opportunity in Canada that allows students to gain international work experience in the field during their studies. Additionally, all courses integrate classroom learning into real life through hands-on learning and industry engagement.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CAN ALSO APPLY FOR THE PROGRAM
International students can also apply for the FinTech certified non-thesis master’s program offered through this partnership. Students from countries other than Türkiye are advised to review the country-specific admission requirements at both institutions.
Although students from different educational backgrounds can be accepted into the program, admission requirements may vary.
