Istanbul Ticaret University breaks new ground in quality management

Taking new steps to improve the quality of education and research activities, Istanbul Ticaret University aims to be a pioneer in quality assurance in higher education. Quality management systems are strengthened with Quality Assurance Committee meetings to be held twice a year and infrastructure works in line with ISO standards.
Istanbul Ticaret University is taking important steps in the field of quality assurance in higher education. Istanbul Ticaret University, which increases the quality of the education and other services it offers with each passing day, established the Quality Assurance Coordinatorship to ensure the execution of internal and external quality assurance, accreditation and quality improvement studies of its education, research and development, social contribution activities and administrative services.
The Quality Assurance Coordination Office will meticulously evaluate the quality assurance and improvement studies directed at the education, training and research activities, social contribution activities and administrative services in line with the strategic plans and objectives of Istanbul Ticaret University.
INSTITUTIONAL INTERNAL ASSESSMENT REPORTS WILL BE DISCLOSED
Every year between January and April, Istanbul Ticaret University Institutional Internal Assessment Report (KİDR) and Institutional Indicators Report (KGR) will be prepared and disclosed to the public. These reports will reveal the current status of the university and set forth its future goals.
PROGRAM ACCREDITATION AND QUALITY STANDARDS
Program accreditation studies carried out by academic units will be monitored and supported in coordination with the respective units. In addition, the necessary infrastructure will be created to obtain the certifications for the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001 Quality Management Systems quality standard and other quality standards within the scope of TS EN ISO (Turkish Standards Institute European Norms, and International Organization for Standardization systems).
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND IMPROVEMENT STUDIES
Istanbul Ticaret University Strategic Plan Preparation and Monitoring Committee will contribute to the process of determining strategic goals, targets, performance indicators and action plans within the framework of the principles of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK). After the external evaluation process, improvement works will be proposed and planned for areas that can be improved, and monitored.
SPREADING THE CULTURE OF QUALITY
Istanbul Ticaret University will organize trainings, seminars and similar activities for students, administrative and academic staff to spread the culture of quality. In addition, the university will follow current and professional publications regarding quality assurance and announce the relevant information within the university.
QUALITY ASSURANCE COMMITTEE WILL MEET TWICE
Pursuant to the Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulations, Istanbul Ticaret University Quality Assurance Committee and its subcommittees will meet twice a year. The meetings, which aim to continuously improve the quality standards of the university, will be held in May and November.
