Changes in Positions at Our University

There has been a change in leadership at the Graduate School and Vocational School of our university. Our former and current directors shared their feelings and thoughts.
Handover of Duties at the Graduate School Directorate
Our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Hanifi Parlar, has handed over the position of Director of the Graduate School, which he had been holding on an interim basis, to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Erdem. Prof. Dr. Parlar stated “I am fully confident that Associate Prof. Dr. Erdem will perform this role to the best of her ability, given her academic expertise and leadership qualities. I have no doubt that our institute will make significant progress in achieving its goals thanks to our professor’s vision and contributions. I wish her success in his work.”
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Erdem, who took over the position, stated, “As of January 30, 2025, I have been appointed to the position of Director of the Graduate School of Education by the decision of our University administration. I would like to express my gratitude to the university board of trustees and senior management for deeming me worthy of this position. I will be honored to contribute at the highest level to the continued momentum of our institute and to serve with an accountable, transparent, and fair management approach that prioritizes quality.”
Handover of Duties at the Vocational School Directorate
Associate Prof. Dr. Mustafa Cem Kasapbaşı handed over his position as Director of the Vocational School, which he had held for approximately 2.5 years, to Associate Prof. Dr. Muhammet Ceylan. Associate Prof. Dr. Kasapbaşı stated “I handed over the directorship to my colleague, Associate Prof. Dr. Muhammet Ceylan, with peace of mind. I am confident that he will have a successful tenure as director. Thank you for the interest and cooperation during my assignment. I have always tried to please everyone, and if I have unintentionally hurt anyone’s feelings, I kindly ask for your forgiveness. It’s all good with me.”
New Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammet Ceylan stated “With the approval of our esteemed Rector, I have assumed the position of Director of the Vocational School. I would like to thank Associate Prof. Dr. Kasapbaşı for his contributions to the development of our college, which resumed education and training in the 2022-2023 academic year. We aim to take our Vocational School to greater heights in line with our university’s vision and mission. “
