The graduation project is an academic process that enables students to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in the field of statistics through independent research. This project is designed to develop skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, research methods, and reporting.

📍 Purpose of the Graduation Project:

  • To develop students’ scientific research, data collection, and analysis skills
  • To perform data analysis using statistical software
  • To present a study that complies with scientific reporting and academic writing standards

📍 Who is required to complete a graduation project?

  • 4th-year undergraduate students
  • Students whose curriculum requires the completion of a graduation project

📌 Important Note: Graduation is not possible without the successful completion of the graduation project.


 

📌 Graduation Project Process

📍 Steps of the Graduation Project:

1️⃣ Advisor Selection: Students must choose a project advisor from among the faculty members of the statistics department.
2️⃣ Topic Selection: Students determine their research topic and dataset in consultation with their advisor.
3️⃣ Literature Review: Academic sources related to the chosen topic are reviewed.
4️⃣ Data Collection and Analysis: Statistical analysis methods are applied to process the data.
5️⃣ Report Writing: The project is prepared in accordance with academic writing standards.
6️⃣ Presentation and Evaluation: The project is presented to the departmental jury members and evaluated.

📌 Graduation Project Submission Rules

📍 Academic rules to be followed when preparing the graduation project:
The project must comply with scientific ethics rules (plagiarism check will be conducted).
The work must be prepared in accordance with the specified formatting and writing guidelines.

Projects must be submitted in both printed and digital formats.
