Moving up a Grade Level

This page has been prepared to provide information about the process of moving to the next class, academic level, or diploma program in our department. The eligibility criteria, application process, and important regulations are summarized below in accordance with the regulations.


📌 Eligibility Criteria and General Principles

To advance to the next academic level, students must meet the following conditions:

Academic Achievement:

  • Students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00 to progress to the next level (Article 31).
  • Students with a GPA below 2.00 are placed on academic probation and must complete the required courses before advancing.

Completion of Mandatory Courses:

  • Students must pass all required courses from the previous semester (Article 21).
  • Any failed courses must be successfully completed before progressing to the next level.

Credit Load and Course Selection:

  • The maximum credit load per semester is 30 ECTS. Students with a GPA of 3.00 or above may take an additional 6 ECTS (Article 24).
  • Students must prioritize completing failed courses from previous semesters before taking new ones.

Attendance Requirements:

  • Students must attend at least 70% of their courses. Courses failed due to excessive absenteeism must be retaken (Article 25).
