Prof. Dr. Oğurlu underlined that Ali Şir Nevai was successful on the political scene as he was in literature, and said:
“After a long scientific journey, he started to work in the palace in Khorasan, and became the second man of the state, performing the duties of sealer, chief of the council, chief of finance, deputy sultan and judge. In this process, he had hundreds of public buildings such as mosques, madrasahs, caravanserais, bridges, tombs and hospitals built all over his country. Those years were called the Renaissance of the East by historians, as his country attained stability and prosperity in material and spiritual terms during this period. All the scholars were put on the payroll and all kinds of financial contributions were made to the madrasa students during this period during which he worked as the chief of finance in the palace.”
The program continued with the speeches of Prof. Dr. Mustafa S. Kaçalin from Marmara University, Dr. Zebiniso Kamalova from Istanbul Ticaret University and Dr. Muhammad Yaqub Qarash from Istanbul University on various aspects of Aşi Şir Nevai.
