Journal Editors Meeting was Held

An online meeting was held with the Editors and Assistant Editors of Istanbul Commerce University’s National and International Journals on November 20, 2024.

Under the chairmanship of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hanifi Parlar, Journal Editors and Deputy Editors came together in a meeting held today. The meeting focused on the publication strategies of the journals, content planning and innovative ideas for future issues. It was evaluated to carry out studies on the visibility of the journals in national and international academic social media for the awareness and recognition of the journals. A consensus was reached that journals should have a more active presence on digital platforms. In addition, it was decided to carry out studies to be more selective in accepting articles in order to improve the quality of publications.

At the end of the meeting, the editors exchanged ideas about special issues and topics to be included in the upcoming issues of their journals. Participants stated that they had begun to take the necessary steps to raise the quality standards of their journals.
