Students Met with Professionals from the Sector

Arkas Logistics Private Customers Operations Manager Ms. Beyda Kurt came together with the students of the Logistics Management Department and gave them a training on “Sea Freight Forwarding”.

Within the scope of the training organized by the Career Center Directorate, Ms. Kurt gave detailed information to our students on finding customers, quoting (purchasing), sales, operation processes, types of bill of lading, i.e., master bill olf lading (MBL) and house of bill old lading (HBL), types of container loading, i.e., full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL), and obtaining and review of ship schedules.

The Career Center Directorate invites representatives from different sectors to the university and brings them together with students within the scope of University-Business World Collaboration activities. In this way, students gain information about the field applications of the theoretical courses they take.
