Teknopark Istanbul Ranked First Yet Again

Teknopark (Technopark) Istanbul, of which Istanbul Ticaret University is one of the founding partners, was awarded the first prize for the third time in a row in the “Emerging Technology Development Zones” category. At the 9^th Research and Development (R&D) and Design Centers and Technology Development Zones Summit organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in İzmir, the “Best Technoparks of the Year and R&D Design Centers Awards” found their owners.

At the summit where the best of Türkiye in the field of R&D, design and technology came together, Teknopark Istanbul won the first place according to the results of the 2021 Technology Development Zones performance index. Teknopark Istanbul, which continues to increase the technology capacity of Türkiye with 409 companies, 8 thousand 669 R&D engineers and 2 thousand 924 R&D projects, won the first prize in the “Emerging Technology Development Zones” category based on 2021 data for the third time in a row after 2019 and 2020. Minister of Industry and Technology Mr. Mustafa Varank, Teknopark Istanbul General Manager Mr. Bilal Topçu and Istanbul Ticaret University Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu also attended the award ceremony.
