Ticaret’s Rocket Team qualified for Teknofest Finals

Istanbul Ticaret University Faculty of Engineering Ticaret Rocket Team successfully completed all three phases in TechnoFest and qualified for the finals to be held in Ankara.
The Vertical Landing Rocket adventure of the Engineering Faculty students, which started in September 2022, was crowned with the qualification for finals. Until now, the team has successfully completed three different qualifying stages in order: ÖTR (Preliminary Design Report) 80/100, KTR (Critical Design Report) 84/100, and AHR (Fire Readiness Report) 86/100.
Our team’s rocket has a pneumatic system working at 300 Bars. This pressure is 10 times higher than the systems used in daily life. For this reason, the rocket was produced using five and seven axis computerized numerical control (CNC) machines in order to have a precise, detailed and defect-free product. The motherboard designed by the team allows the stabilization of the rocket in six axes.
The Trade Rocket Team, supervised by Faculty Member Dr. Alper Özpınar, consists of the following members:

Team captain Faik Enes Albayrak stated that they continued their work without slowing down with the goal of being the first in the competition, and thanked Ayberk Emin Kotan, who did not give up his help despite his graduation, team advisor Dr. Alper Özpınar and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Muammer Kalyon.
