We Are Working Relentlessly To Heal The Wounds Of Earthquake Victims

Following the earthquake disaster that took place in Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces, an aid campaign was organized under the coordination of our Health, Culture and Sports Department and Istanbul Ticaret University Young Red Crescent Student Community.

After the earthquake disaster that took place in Kahramanmaraş on February 6^th, 2023 and affected 10 provinces, relief works have started since the day the disaster occurred, under the coordination of our Health, Culture and Sports Department and Istanbul Ticaret University Young Red Crescent Student Community. The aid activities organized with the participation of nearly 60 student groups of our university continue without slowing down with the contributions of our university students, academic and administrative staff.

In this direction, the emergency supplies brought by the administrative and academic staff and our students are packaged in various categories with the support of our volunteer students and delivered to Red Crescent.

The materials that have been delivered to Kızılay so far are as follows:

-1800 0.5 L bottled water,

-1750 food products,

-1500 hygiene materials,

-1250 assorted new clothes,

-120 blankets,

-120 flashlights, batteries, charging cables, and

– 50 baby care items (feeding bottles, pacifiers, etc.)

75 boxes of clothes in good condition, which were not accepted by the Red Crescent, were reserved for delivery via appropriate channels. In addition, 3000 batteries, 100 headlamps and 100 chargers will be delivered to Red Crescent on Thursday.
