98. TURKSTAT & Statistics from Production to Presentation
Istanbul Ticaret University Statistics Society organized a panel titled “Statistics from Production to Presentation” with the participation of Ali İhsan Yücedağ, Istanbul Regional Director of Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT). TurkStat experts Ahmet Gök and Fatih Çekiç also made important presentations at the panel.
Ali İhsan Yücedağ, TURKSTAT Istanbul Regional Director, first shared valuable information about career opportunities at TURKSTAT. Participants gained important information about working at TurkStat and career development.
In the continuation of the panel, Ahmet Gök, TURKSTAT expert and Statistics Group Manager, presented “Statistics from Production to Presentation: The Case of Turkey’s Elderly Profile Survey”. Gök explained in detail the process from the beginning to the end of the research on Turkey’s elderly population profile.
The last speaker of the panel, Mr. Fatih Çekiç, TURKSTAT expert and Statistics Group Manager, made a presentation titled “Information Dissemination Channels at TURKSTAT”. Mr. Çekiç shared with the participants TuTURKSTAT’s strategies and channels for information dissemination. This presentation revealed the important work of TURKSTAT on access to and dissemination of information.
With this panel, TURKSTAT provided invaluable guidance to the participants by introducing its pioneering work in the field of statistics. Istanbul Ticaret University Statistics Society will continue to contribute to the professional development of students and academicians with such events.
