The purpose of the Economics program is to equip students with the skills and competencies associated with the ever-enriching dimensions of the economics profession in the age of information. The program enables students (i) to acquire the fundamental knowledge of theoretical and applied frameworks in economics, (ii) to make use of the essential statistical and econometric tools necessary for the analysis of economic events, processes, institutions and systems, and (iii) to acquire the continuously evolving skills of information technology that are integral parts of the modern economist’s formation in the information age.
