Recognition of Prior Learning
The recognition of prior learning is a process that allows the evaluation of courses previously completed at a higher education level so that they may be counted toward equivalent courses in the current university program.
Students may apply for the recognition of prior learning under the following circumstances:
-
Inter-University Course Transfer (Horizontal/Vertical Transfer):
-
Matching courses previously taken at another university with those in the current program.
-
Assessing the compatibility of course content and credit equivalence for previously completed courses.
-
Submitting course equivalency applications for horizontal or vertical transfer students.
-
Application Process:
-
Applications for horizontal/vertical transfer are made within the dates specified in the academic calendar.
-
Students must submit an official transcript and course descriptions from their previous university.
-
Applications are evaluated by the relevant academic unit, and courses deemed appropriate are recognized for exemption.
