I graduated as the second-ranked student from the Department of Economics (English) in 2018. The high academic competence of the faculty members and their diverse disciplinary backgrounds enabled me to approach economics from multiple perspectives rather than a single analytical framework. This intellectually rich environment contributed significantly to my ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, to analyze contemporary economic developments in a multidimensional manner, and to develop strong critical thinking skills. During my undergraduate studies, engaging in research- and paper-based coursework introduced me to the culture of scientific inquiry at an early stage and became a key motivating factor in my decision to pursue an academic career. The high-quality educational environment offered by the Department of Economics (English), together with the knowledge, experience, and support of our faculty members, has made being a graduate of this department a truly distinctive and privileged experience for me.

As a graduate of Istanbul Commerce University, I can say that I am generally satisfied with my university. One of the biggest advantages for me was that the courses covered not only theoretical knowledge but also topics that are useful in real-life business settings. Most of the lecturers were knowledgeable in their fields and had strong communication with students; it was possible to reach them and receive support whenever needed. Thanks to the university’s connections with the business world, students gain early awareness regarding internships and career opportunities. The seminars, events, and career days organized help you see more clearly what you want to do before graduating. Although the campus is not very large, it has a friendly atmosphere, and it is easy to build friendships. Of course, there are some shortcomings, but overall, I believe that Istanbul Commerce University contributed to me both academically and personally. When adapting to professional life after graduation, I benefited from the foundation I gained at the university. I would confidently recommend it to prospective students, especially those looking for a university that is closely connected to the business world.
