Istanbul Ticaret University Faculty of Communication is hosting a striking exhibition of photographs produced with artificial intelligence as part of the annual Human Art and Technology Symposium (İSTES), which is held for the second time this year. The exhibition, prepared by the faculty members of the Visual Communication Design Department of the Faculty of Communication, reveals the impact of technology on artistic expression and the elements that alienate people.
The photographs in the exhibition were produced by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gözde Sunal, Faculty Member Dr. Muhammed Emin Albayrak and Faculty Member Mr. Alp Eren Erbay using advanced artificial intelligence tools Midjourney and Adobe Firefly. These works, shaped around the theme of “Contrast,” aim to offer viewers a striking visual experience with contrasts of color, shape and meaning. The exhibition, which also emphasizes the main theme of this year’s İSTES, that is, “Techno-Art, Reality and Alienation,” aims to explore the alienating effects of technology and the new perspectives it brings to art. The photographs invite the viewer to a different and thought-provoking world, allowing them to explore the increasingly blurry boundaries between humans and technology.
The exhibition can be visited until November 30th in the exhibition area located on the 6th floor of Istanbul Ticaret University Sütlüce Campus. Art lovers are invited to discover techno-art and the new dimensions that artificial intelligence brings to art.
