The projects prepared by Istanbul Commerce University Transportation Systems Application and Research Center offered solutions to Iğdır’s transportation infrastructure. Details regarding the implementation of the projects were shared at the meeting.
“Public Transportation Master Plan Project” and “Transportation and Traffic Master Plan Project” prepared by Istanbul Commerce University Transportation Systems Application and Research Center in order to develop transportation infrastructure in Iğdır and to find solutions to transportation problems in the city have been completed. The final presentation of the projects was made by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ilıcalı, Director of Istanbul Commerce University Transportation Systems Application and Research Center. Iğdır Governor Ercan Turan, Iğdır Mayor Mehmet Nuri Güneş, municipal staff, sector representatives and public transportation cooperatives attended the meeting. Various solution proposals for urban transportation were discussed in the presentation.
SOLUTION SUGGESTIONS WERE SHARED
The presentation covered topics such as new road projects, improving public transportation, increasing pedestrian and bicycle routes, and implementing smart traffic systems. The projects include steps to be taken to make transportation in the city more organized and safer.
IMPLEMENTATION ROADMAP WAS DEFINED
Within the scope of the Transportation Master Plan, the implementation processes and phases of the projects were planned. The aim is to use public transportation more effectively with solutions that will ease urban traffic.
A NEW ERA IN TRANSPORTATION FOR IĞDIR
The projects aim to strengthen the existing transportation infrastructure in Iğdır and regulate the transportation flow in the city. The planned works will contribute to facilitating transportation in the city.
