Istanbul Ticaret University participated in Turkish university fairs held in February in Casablanca and Marrakech, Morocco, as well as in Abuja, Nigeria, in line with its internationalization strategy. During the fairs, which lasted a total of four days in two countries, prospective students considering undergraduate and graduate education, particularly in Turkey, were met.

ENGINEERING AND BUSINESS DEPARTMENTS BECAME THE FOCUS OF ATTENTION
Mesut Olgun, Acting Director of the International Student Relations Unit, and Burak Duman represented Istanbul Ticaret University at the fairs. While engineering and business were the most popular departments among prospective students, the University’s connection with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, its wide range of internship opportunities, and its advantages in terms of access to the business world attracted the interest of prospective students.
MOROCCAN STUDENTS SHOW GREAT INTEREST IN TURKEY
The opening of the fair held in Morocco was conducted by Mustafa İlker Kılıç, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Rabat. Ambassador Kılıç visited our university’s booth, received information from the officials, and conveyed his best wishes for success. While the interest of Moroccan student applicants in Turkey is noteworthy, international office officials noted that many applicants stated they learned Turkish by watching Turkish TV series and films.
THE CENTRAL LOCATION AND BUSINESS CONNECTIONS WERE FOUND TO BE IMPRESSIVE
Our university’s central location in Istanbul, its proximity to the historic peninsula, and its strong ties to the business world were found to be appealing by fair visitors.
