Academicians from the Russian Federation visited our university

A delegation of 45 academicians and athletes from the Russian Federation visited Istanbul Ticaret University. Meetings were held with the delegation, and they were briefed about the University.

Most of the academicians, historians, linguists and athletes that were available in the delegation were from the Caucasus region of the Russian Federation. The delegation was given a tour of the university, and talks were held on student exchange.

The delegation was hosted by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu. At the Sütlüce Campus Conference Hall, presentations were made to inform them about the university, and additionally, an introductory film promoting the university was screened in Russian. Subsequently, Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu addressed the delegation. Prof. Dr. Oğurlu stated that Istanbul Ticaret University is taking firm steps towards internationalization, and has signed protocols on academic cooperation with many universities around the world to that effect. Istanbul Ticaret University students from the Russian Federation were invited to the stage and they shared their views on the University.

The academics who took the floor on behalf of the delegation stated that they are following the activities of Istanbul Ticaret University with appreciation and want to form a cooperation.

The program started with a luncheon and followed by the university’s presentation. Subsequently, speeches were delivered, and the program ended with a tour of the Sütlüce campus.
