Istanbul Ticaret University Held Its First Meeting for the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan

Istanbul Ticaret University held its first meeting chaired by Rector Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek as part of preparations for its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan.
The first meeting was held in the E502 hall of the Sütlüce Campus as part of the preparations for the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, coordinated by the Strategy Development and Quality Coordination Office of Istanbul Ticaret University Rectorate, with the participation of academic and administrative managers. The meeting addressed the university’s strategic goals, projects, and academic development plans for the next five years. It was emphasized that the effective participation of academic and administrative units in the planning process is critical.
THE FUTURE IS BEING PLANNED WITH A PARTICIPATORY APPROACH
The strategic planning process will be conducted using a participatory approach under the main headings of leadership, governance and quality, education and training, research and development, and social contribution. The defined goals will shape the university’s future. The work will proceed according to the schedule determined after approval by the rector’s office.
HOW WILL THE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS WORK?
During the strategic planning process, the university’s current situation will be comprehensively analyzed, its mission and vision will be updated if necessary, differentiation strategies will be determined, and performance monitoring mechanisms will be established. Strategic planning activities will be carried out in accordance with the principles established by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget. The process will be organized, monitored, and coordinated by the Strategy Development and Quality Coordination Office of Istanbul Commerce University. Also, the effective participation of relevant units and stakeholders will be ensured. The strategic plan aims to improve the university’s educational quality, support research and development activities, and strengthen regional collaborations. Our university aims to establish a sustainable structure within a continuous improvement cycle in the areas of education, research, and social contribution through its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan.
