Our Academicians were included in the World’s Most Influential Scientists List

Academicians of our university, Prof. Dr. Abdullah H. Sofiyev, Prof. Dr. Doğan Kaya and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezgin were included in the “Career-Long Impact” category of the “World’s Most Influential Scientists List” as a result of the survey conducted by Stanford University.
Furthermore, in addition to our academicians mentioned above, our academician Faculty Member Dr. Ojonugwa Usman, and members of our Central Advisory Board, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andaç Batur Çolak, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Önder Turan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asıf Yokuş were also included in the “World’s Most Influential Scientists List” in the “Annual Impact” category.
The latest World’s Most Influential Scientists List, prepared every year by scientists from Stanford University, was recently published by Elsevier, a Netherlands-based publishing company specializing in scientific, technical and medical content.
World’s Most Influential Scientists List includes two categories: “Career-Long Impact” and “Annual Impact”. While creating the list, international criteria such as the number of qualified publications of academicians, the impact of the journal in which the publications were published, the number of patents, the number of citations, h-index, hm-index, the number of articles, the number of cited articles and the impact of the journal in which they were published were taken into consideration.
In the “Career-Long Impact” category of the World’s Most Influential Scientists List, Prof. Dr. Abdullah H. Sofiyev ranked 26,734th, Prof. Dr. Doğan Kaya ranked 108,119th, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezgin ranked 201,642nd.
In the “Annual Impact” category of the World’s Most Influential Scientists List, Prof. Dr. Abdullah H. Sofiyev ranked 11.566th, Faculty Member Dr. Ojonugwa Usman ranked 50.208th, Prof. Dr. Andaç Batur Çolak ranked 84.445th, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asıf Yokuş ranked 131.856th, Prof. Dr. Doğan Kaya ranked 141.885th, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Önder Turan ranked 184.423rd, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sezgin ranked 206.568th.
