Istanbul Ticaret University Theater and Music Societies organized a concert and theater event on the occasion of the end of the academic year. Students and academicians showed great interest in the events held separately in the Sütlüce and Küçükyalı campuses.
Before the start of the final exams, the Music Society gave a concert to increase the motivation and ensure the integration of the students. Students had fun at the concerts which were held one day apart in Sütlüce and Küçükyalı campuses. The concert was also instrumental in satisfying the longings of students who had not seen each other for a long time due to the fact that the classes were being held online after the earthquakes that affected 10 provinces. Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Torlak also attended the event that was held in Sütlüce campus.
A GREAT PERFORMANCE FROM THE THEATER SOCIETY
The Theater Society, which has been carrying out its activities within the university for years, put on a theater play on the occasion of the end of the academic year. Students, academicians and administrative staff showed great interest in the play called “You are Me, I am You”. The play was shown both in Sütlüce and Küçükyalı campuses on different days. A special screening was also held for the parents of the students in the Sütlüce campus.
İbrahim Yarış, Head of Health, Sports and Cultural Affairs (SKS) Department, went on stage and congratulated the acting students after the theater performance, and stated that he had also been interested in theater for a while in the past. Mr. Yarış has said, “I know that it is very difficult to stage a play that includes both comedy and drama elements, but our students succeeded in both in the same play. Therefore, I congratulate them.”
The theater play received full marks from both students, academicians and parents.
