A Visit to Dr. Kuralay from Pakistan Istanbul Consulate General and MUSIAD

Chairman of our university’s Board of Trustees Dr. İsrafil Kuralay hosted Mr. Shahid Younus, Cultural Attaché at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Istanbul, and Mr. Savaş Yılmaz, Chairman of the MUSIAD (Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association) Education, Culture and Publications Committee. During the meetings, cooperation opportunities in different fields were discussed.
Mr. Shahid Younus, Cultural Attaché of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Istanbul, visited our university and met with our Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. İsrafil Kuralay. During the meeting, possible cooperation opportunities between the universities in Pakistan and Istanbul Ticaret University were discussed. International Office Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr Ali Altuğ Biçer was also present at the meeting.
Dr. Kuralay thanked Mr. Younus for his kind visit and said that they had multi-faceted meetings with Pakistani organizations during the time he was serving as the Vice President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, however that he had never been to Pakistan. Dr. Kuralay gave general information about our university to Mr. Younus and showed our university’s promotional film.
Mr. Younus stated that they follow the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Istanbul Ticaret University closely and noted that academic cooperation can be made with universities in Pakistan in different fields particularly in student/staff exchange. During the meeting, the steps that can be taken to have more Pakistani students enrolled at Istanbul Ticaret University and to have Pakistani students doing academic studies on Pakistan while studying in the graduate departments at Istanbul Ticaret University were discussed.
During the visit, issues such as organizing a film festival and short film competitions jointly by our university, organizations operating in the field of communication in Türkiye and relevant organizations in Pakistan, and sharing experiences in the field of media came to the fore. Organization of Pakistan Days and joint cultural programs at Istanbul Ticaret University were also discussed. The visit ended with the exchange of gifts and a photo shoot.
WORKS ARE UNDERWAY FOR MULTI-DIMENSIONAL COOPERATION WITH MUSIAD
MUSIAD Education, Culture and Publications Commission President Dr. Savaş Yılmaz visited our university and met with the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. İsrafil Kuralay. During the meeting, cooperation opportunities between MUSIAD and our university were discussed.
In the first meeting, Dr. Yılmaz congratulated Dr. Kuralay, who has become the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Istanbul Ticaret University in the new term. Dr. Kuralay also expressed his satisfaction with the visit. During the visit, the issue of contributing to the Afro EuroAsian Academic magazine published by MUSIAD by our university came to the fore. Additionally, it was agreed to produce new projects by combining the field experience of MUSIAD and the academic opportunities of the Istanbul Ticaret University in the field of Commercial Diplomacy. Furthermore, ideas were exchanged on the development of cooperation between business world and academia on a regional basis.
Dr. Kuralay stated that they would be pleased to cooperate with MUSIAD and said that they were ready to contribute to the works being carried out in every possible way. The visit ended with a photo shoot.
