The rate of those who have only one child but do not want a second child was 82.9%, whereas the rate of those who have two children and do not want another child was 92.7%. Taken together, these data suggest that the average number of children participants have is less than necessary number to keep the population in balance.

RELATIVES ARE VISITED DURING THE HOLIDAYS

Visits made between family members during holidays or on special days show that the family continues to be at the center of social life in Turkey. Accordingly, more than 90% of the participants stated that they visit their parents on such days, whereas some 80% stated that they also visit their close relatives such as uncles, uncles, aunts, usually or whenever possible.
