The Coordination Meeting organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF) was held in Antalya to evaluate new period plans for university sports. The meeting, which was also attended by Kaan Fidan, Head of the Student Affairs Office at Istanbul Commerce University, discussed efforts to strengthen the sports ecosystem.

The Coordination Meeting organized by TÜSF was held in Antalya on November 12–14, 2025. The meeting, attended by federation officials, university representatives, and relevant stakeholders, was also attended by Kaan Fidan, Director of the Health, Culture, and Sports (HCS) Department, representing our University. At the meeting, new period goals for university sports, collaborations, and efforts to strengthen the sports ecosystem were discussed.

TÜSF PRESIDENT PROF. DR. MUTLU TÜRKMEN SHARED THE VISION FOR THE NEW TERM.
The program began with the presentation of the agenda and the screening of a video about the federation’s activities. Following this, TÜSF President Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen shared the work being carried out for the development of university sports and the federation’s overall vision. Prof. Dr. Türkmen stated that providing young people with higher-quality sports opportunities, strengthening sports culture on campuses, and the “Sports-Friendly Campus Project” are fundamental steps toward this vision.

INFRASTRUCTURE, CALENDAR, AND VOLUNTEER SYSTEM DISCUSSED
On the first day of the meeting, evaluations were made on updating the sports infrastructure of universities, planning event calendars, and expanding the scope of the volunteer system. Participants exchanged views on creating a more inclusive and sustainable structure in university sports. On the second day of the meeting, information and evaluation sessions were held. Following the evaluation of the new period’s objectives, the meeting concluded with closing remarks.
