General Qualifications:

• 3+years of professional programming experience

• High level of C/C++ expertise

• Commercial, embedded software development experience. Understanding of basic microcontroller concepts and terminology. (Previously worked with any well known industry standard micro controllers/processors like as, Microchip PIC series/TI/ST Microcontrollers)

• A deep understanding of a “constrained” target environment (resource limited processor, limited memory, etc.) is essential

• Programming on Linux and embedded Linux.

• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms

• Good communication skills

• Familiarity with ARM processors is a PLUS

• Good understanding of multitasking target systems and RTOS is a PLUS

• Compiler and linkers experience is a PLUS

• Experience with client–server software architecture and development is a PLUS

• Experience with development tools suited to that environment: gdb, gcc, make, git, wireshark, QT, etc. is a PLUS

• Knowledge on TCP/IP, RTP, RTSP and other protocols is a PLUS

• Experience and know-how in the area of video encoding/decoding (MPEG2, MPEG 4, H.264) is a PLUS

• Worked with Processors platforms (TI-Davinci, OMAP3, OMAP4, AD, Cortex, ARM) is a PLUS

• Experience with other scripting/tools skills useful (Make, CVS) is a PLUS

• Awareness of SW trends is a PLUS

• Able to work unsupervised is PLUS

Job Description:

As a valued member of the C2TECH Software Engineering group, he/she is involved in the entire software product lifecycle including design, development, unit/integration testing as well as validation of current and future C2TECH products.

*This position involves developing and enhancing system software for our current and new products, which use Linux based processors.

*The primary operating system environment is embedded Linux.

*Responsible for designing design specs, application code, unit and integration testing.
