Innovation Plays a Big Role in Public Pro. Policy

Prof Murat Yulek from Istanbul Commerce University Faculty of Commercial Sciences and Lecturer Dr Murad Tiryakioglu from Afyon Kocatepe University Department of Economics shared their assessments about the use of public procurement policies in developing countries in industrialization process in the annual report “Public Procurement and Innovation" published by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Both academics, in their assessments, stressed that innovation lies on the basis of development-oriented public procurement policies. In Yulek and Tiryakioglu’s research, country cases about conceptual relationship between economic development in countries and public procurement, market access, basic tools for public procurement and development-oriented public procurement were referred.
